The opening of the Grand Canyon... I have hiked the entire trail, down and back up - this is the very first switchback, and you continue forward and right to keep going down. This is what you first see.

A part of the Grand Canyon's Bright Angel Trail.... the other side is where the mules will go a lot of the time... we were traveling on the right side, so this is a photo of the left side and the scenery.

I'd be guessing you had a bit of vacation!

You went so much farther down the canyon on the same trail; much farther than me on all of my trips there. I'm so anxious to a full hike from south to north rims!

Aha! I knew you were from BS as well, I realized you must have been Rusty the Fox - it was confirmed when I read your name on dA. Thanks for the watch! Yes, we went the entire way down, spent three nights in canyon in tents, and came back up again - it was SO much fun, and such an amazing experience.
