I love it! I own the entire TFIW series on DVD, and the two books that were published about it. I also have a terrific book called After Man, which is another vision of the animals that will evolve in the future. Of the species in TFIW, I liked the Great Blue Windrunner best...I also liked the Rainbow Squid, Slickribbon, Reef Glider, Gardenworm, and plenty of the others.

It was written by Dougal Dixon. I'm trying to get another of his books, The New Dinosaurs, which shows what would happen if dinosaurs didn't become extinct.

Yeah, that's the one, ain't it cool? "A Zoology of the Future." It's the only book I own by him but I can tell just from it that Dixon is a great author. I've heard of some of his other ones though, they sound good too. It has as many awesome creatures as TFIW (more, actually.) I love the Shurrack, Horrane, Wakka, etc. Heh, funny names on some of them; they sound like Pokémon or something.

Yeah, I remember a couple years ago around New Year's, there were all kinds of commercials for it...and since I watch Animal Planet all the time, of course I made a point of seeing it. And I was really, really impressed, even more than I expected to be. I went and recorded some of them when they came on again and wound up buying the DVD set because it had extra pieces and stuff.

There are some that would fit in the former category, and lots in the latter.
