Some people have started a petition for a Lion King 4 (it's called 4 because TLK3 is one and a half)

Now, I'd love to see a fourth film, but to be quite honest, I think three is enough. Leave the fans wanting more, I say. We don't want The Lion King to become a Land Before Time. But what do you think? Maybe TLK4 should be about Scar and Mufasa's past, or about Kiara and Kovu's cub. Will you be signing the petition?

It's nothing official - it's just a plea from fans.

I'm not sure. It looks pretty recent to me. Someone posted it as a bulletin on The Lion King Fan Art Archive.

It means that Lion King lovers (fans) are asking for something. (e.g. another Lion King movie.)

A prequal might be nice.
I'm not sure about a sequal to Simba's Pride. Disney's sequal ideas are terrible these days, the animation is never as good.
If it were to be as good as SP was, then yeah, I'd like to see the story continue, but I'm quite happy where it ended. ;D

Yep, it's called The Lion King 1 and 1/2. It's also known as The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata in some European countries (like here in Britain).
