private talks in the Shout box

In another site I often visit you can have private chats with another member or members.
sometimes it's just nice to have a private talk with your friends.

It's more direct than Pm's.

Abuse can be reported by copy-pasting the abuse member's name into a pm to a mod

If you want to privately talk with your friends and not through via private message, please nab their MSN/AOL/YAHOO screen name. It is much easier then adding unnecessary features on the site, that space can be used for other things.

I thinks add possibility to have private chats may be difficult, may take too much space on the site files and will probably be a bit difficult and anyway unnessecary when people have MSN or something else. On what kind of site did you see this feature? I don't think you saw this on a site with a forum.

hmm, well i guess it would be useful for the stubborn people with mates that will not keep it in pms. also useful if a bunch of people are annoying you when your talking to your friend. good idea
