I've looked at the petition lately and one signature said that Universal should make eight more Balto films each starring one of his pups. And I was thinking, whoa horsie, we don't want Balto to become like The Land Before Time now do we? I think two sequels is enough.

So what do you think? Should they make more sequels or leave the trilogy as it is?

The ones who didn't want sequels wouldn't care about another one anyway, and the others who would like one would appreciate it. So there's no reason there shouldn't be more.
I still would like another cheap sequel than *NOTHING*...

well when I check the dates when they where released, you never know when a 4th happens, cause what happen to Steele? what are the other dogs doing (u saw in Balto 2)? what is happening with Aleu? and, What is Balto's next adventure? those are my questions, also I was thinking they could do a TV series, i don't know, all I care is Balto to live on. :)

The more sequels released by Universal, the more people are going to look at Balto as a whole low-budget crap-tastrophe. What could they possibly think of next for a plot?
Balto 4 - Son of Boris

Please Universal, step away from the franchise; you've already killed it.

Fan work is much more interesting and appealing anyway. Just don't let Universal bust you for copyright infringement, they'll be jealous you can produce something more entertaining than their staff! allears.gif

that is the point, there are so many question not answered after Balto 1, 2, and 3. Example, what happen to star? and the others?

What? Seems like you can't understand how hard it is to make a plot for a movie. It's completly different from writing a fanfiction.

Please do not condescend to me. I write plots for short stories and novels quite often. Writing is my hobby; I do it a lot. Plots for movies like Wolf Quest are not hard to throw together at all. Sometimes, scripts for these movies are changed during production because of inconsistencies or awkward structure. They aren't perfect. They don't even have to be good.

Let me ask you, structure-wise, what is the difference in quality between a fan's plot for a fictional story about Wolf Quest and the actual script to Wolf Quest?

Anyway, I'm not talking strictly about fan fiction, I said fan work. Work can be, and is not limited to, audio, video, visual, and writing.

That's pretty much my point of view. Universal's sequels made the original look bad and are doing more harm than good for the franchise. Another sequel will make things worse, even if it was going to be decent. Plus, Balto 4 just sounds ugly and cheap, no matter how you look at it. My personal rule about movies is that they can't have more than 2 sequels.

Balto could work out as a TV series; I can see that happening.

What I could also see is another animated movie involving wolves or dogs but not Balto related. It would have a similar look and feel but with different characters and storyline.

I would actually, prefer Universal try and remake the two sequals to match more the first one. That would make more people notice Balto and it's sequals more. ^^ But they, from my point of view, got impatient and went ahead and made Balto 2 Wolf Quest before they had enough for a budget. If they had shown more the first movie, and then go ahead and make the second one with the same animation, they'd had more for the third, and in result, the three would be better, more people would love it. Then, if possible, a series, and everyone would be happy. I'm annoyed enough with them ruining the two sequals. T_T
