The Land Before Time

Is there anyone here besides me who likes The Land Before Time. I hate the sequels but the first is magical. I see a lot of posts around here saying 'oh I hate TLBT because it's stupid and childish.' The sequels are stupid and childish, but I think that the original is a classic.
Who agrees? Or am I to be left in the dark?

No, I concur, I like the first one; I also like...maybe the first three sequels or so. :lol:

I agree. I used to watch land before time a lot when i was little but I did not like the sequels. the first one was the best.

Sorry... I really don't like LBT1. It just doesn't interest me. The characters REALLY REALLY get on my nerves.. especially Cera and Dusky... *shudders*

I enjoy some of the sequels though. No. 7: The Stone of Cold Fire is my favourite of the series. I love the smooth animation, and the great songs. 'The Mysterious Beyond' is lovely, and great to sing to XD No. 5: The Mysterious Island is also one of my favourites

Its a classic and I liked the movie, but I wouldn't watch it more than once.
I wish they'd kept the original ending (which was to have all 5 of them die and them getting to the valley was like going to heaven.)
The sequals suck. 8D

I love the first one a lot^^ My fav. Character is Littlefoot and Ducky^^

The first one is my second favorite animated movie of all time, right behind Balto. I used to watch it almost every day with my mom. I remember calling it "Littlefoot" and not "The Land Before Time".

For sequels, 4 was probably my favorite. I don't know whether they declined from there or whether I just kind of lost interest. I have the sequels up to 5 now... lost 6 and 7.

I remember seeing The Great Longneck Migration on Cartoon Network and it being the stupidest thing I've ever seen! Universal is still my favorite animation company though.

The first one is best, hands down. The first two sequels were ok, then it got ridiculous. I will admit I never saw anything past 4, but it doesn't take a genius to tell that a 17th sequel isn't going to be worth it. If they were going to make these many sequels, why didn't they just make a TV series?

Anyway, the scene with Littlefoot's Mom dying, sticks with me to this day.

Universal are making a TV series now.

Why can't they just leave the poor dinosaurs alone?
