Recently, I've seen a lot of whine posts, if not sympathy posts on the Other section, which I think I shouldn't have to poke, as I can't see how this is breaking the rules.

However, after seeing a whine post containing excessive swearing and threatening to kill his family (by the same guy that made the thread), I would like to suggest a rule for this, to be posted on the Other section.


Here's my suggestion:

"This section was intended to discuss matters that had absolutely nothing to do with balto, or anything on BaltoSource, as of thus; whine posts and sympathy posts are allowed. However, whine/sympathy-posts containing swearing, suicide or telling us you want to kill somebody, will not be tolerated, and the poster will be given a warning before a four-weeks ban, and the thread will be deleted. Should such behaviour keep on by that individual, it will result in a maximum of two four-week bans before that individual is banned... Permanently.
Not limited to just the three forbidding things. (Saying you have suicide thoughts are allowed, but no more.)"

Any opinions?

your right, these types of posts should not be immune to the rules. we need to let the Baltosource community know this.

Agreed. If I see threats being told to someone, I will report it without hesitation. I mean...online threats may or may not be serious but, there is always a small chance that there is a real threat therefor, I agree with you banning them without warning.

Other than threats, I think at least one warning should be given.
