Well, I wanted to know who else is reading this series. It's really awesome, if you ask me. If you haven't read it and want to know about it, then here's the general idea of the series: There are six kids, ranging from ages 17 to 6 who are a lot like most kids their age except for one thing: They're only 98% human. The other 2% of their DNA is avion, or bird. This has caused them to have bird-like qualities which include proportionately-sized feathered wings on their backs that are strong enough to get them to fly, rapid healing, stronger bones, and stronger muscles, among others. They can fold their wings to their backs enough so that when they put a shirt on, you can't even tell the wings are even there, which is good when going around in public places. However, these qualities present some problems to them: One being that they need to eat about 8,000 Calories a day, and the fact that they're on the run from the sick laboratory that created them, which is trying to kill them with its other creations. Well, there you have it. There are three books in the series so far: Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment Maximum Ride: School's Out - Forever Maximum Ride: Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports I'm also writing a fanfiction incorporating a character that I based off myself with the group of kids in the books, but it takes place after the third one, so don't read it unless you've read the third book. I'll post it on http://www.fanfiction.net when it's done.

My grandmother got me this book series for my birthday this year, and I was immediately hooked. I couldn't put any of them down. My mother and I saw them at Walmart one day, and she was talking about how James Patterson was one of her favorite authors and that I should try the books. I wasn't really interested in the plot so much, but when I finally sat down and read one I fell in love. =] I can't wait for the next one.
Is it still due out March 16, 2009? Or have they changed it?

I read the first one, and I thought it was good. I'm waiting to borrow the second book.
My friend, wolflover10, has gone obsessed. She has like, changed her username and evrything. I like the book, but...dude. Well, you get my point.
I like Max, she's cool. And of course, Angel. But I don't understand why she has all these extra powers...don't spoil it if it says so in later books. I also want to read the Manga version. It looks interesting.

I don't think he is emo. I mean he isn't slitting his wrists or being really whiney.

I am not making fun of Max. I don't think Fang ever slits his wrists in the book otherwise it would be a pretty nasty thing to read for some of the younger readers of the series.
