Who has heard or played this game for Nintendo's little, white system?
I'm renting it now, and have to say that it's impressive how addicting it is.
Here's the boxIn Elebits, you are a 10 year old boy named Kai who's parents are researchers of little beings of energy, Elebits. The research keeps the attention of his parents on the Elebits and Kai complains that they don't spent enough time with him, saying that it's all the Elebits' fault and hating. During a storm one night, a huge bolt of lightning strikes, cutting out the power. Being that the Elebits are the ones who power everything in the world, Kai pins fault on the Elebits again and uses his dad's "Capture Gun," a sort of gravity gun, to search his home and town for the Elebits and capture them.
The game is controlled with the Wiimote and Nunchuck combo. The Nunchuck is used for movement and for crouching down and stretching up with the 'Z' and 'C' buttons while the Wiimote is used for aiming and use of the Capture Gun ('B' or 'A' used to shoot the gun and various movements to manipulate objects caught in the beam). The game runs in standard mission/level form.
The missions are set up like this: you are in an area with your capture gun (starting at your room and house in the early missions). The power is out and you are going to do something about it. As the story says, you need to collect a specific amount of Watts by finding and capturing Elebits to complete a mission, but you have to do it quickly; there's a clock that'll be ticking away. On top of that, sometimes you'll get a limit to how many breakable items you can break or how much noise you can make; exceeding your limit in either of them will cost you the mission.
You'll notice that, as you are collecting your Watt quota, some appliances will turn on. Shooting the switch on these appliances will reveal Power Elebits that can be collected to power up your capture gun, allowing you to lift heavier objects.
...
So, yeah, I'll get back to that... Anyways, who's played this?
Note: I'll see what I can do about capturing my own gameplay footage. For now, check IGN or Gamespot.
