Using the standard freewebs setup is no good. However, you should make your website with a website maker on your computer, and upload it, to avoid those "custom" designs which are good for nothing, but trash.

I just set up profiles on the sited I have a user on. It's not totally freeform, but it makes it a heck of a lot easier to communicate with those I share common interests with. Plus, I've heard some free webpage suppliers delete pages on occasion (don't ask me why), but they don't do that on the sites I use.

To be honest, I think Notepad I script more efficient than what to find on Proboards. Any program like Microsoft FrontPage, Macromedia (ahem... Adobe) Dreamweaver, or any WYSIWYG editor will work to set up an indexed domain with an heiarchial page structure.

However, allocating this data to a server (unless you have one of your own) will cost you money to host your site and maintain it yearly. FreeWebs doesn't always support every Web page HTML file either. In reality, constructing your very own real site won't become true unless you build a site 100% from scratch hosting on your own server. It's what I'm trying to achieve.

You know more techno-language than I do :O

But yeah... What Amaterasu said.
