I like metal, I dont wanna hear all this screamcore divided by blackcore death metal, no nu-metal, no nonsense

Just Metal!

But on a different note punk wins over metal anyday

And i mean punk, not avril lavigne

I like all these categories but not because they talk about death and they scream the beat and clashing drums and wicked guitar solos are awsome thats why I like Metal but the question is do like metal?

Metalcore isn't metal, at least not from the point of view of someone who actually knows anything of the genre, it's a wannabe cross-over and screamo-metal is metalcore.

2.) Octavarium - Dream Theater
3.) Snakes And Arrows - Rush
4.) Blackwater Park - Opeth
5.) Images And Words - Dream Theater

These are all incredible examples of what progressive metal/rock is all about! check em all out. you won't be disappointed!

Good ol' Hardrock and NWBHM are still the best pieces of metal made, in my opinion, supplemented by PowerMetal if you're looking for some over-the-top amusement. But all those obscure sub genres like BlackMetal are just plain awful.
btw, to all the nu-Metal haters: some nu-Metal really is good, you know. Think Tool.
