Then maybe you joined the wrong forum, buddy. Many of the members here are for the conservation of wolves.
Of course you have the right to state your opinion, but so do others.
However, opinions shouldn't be expressed as flames.

I personly don't think this belongs here. The pm bit, yes, but the other parts? Yeahsure, youmay want to have the same job as your dad, theres nobody stopping you. Yeah so you "Want to make your daddy proud" Well thats great but is not nessarcery on the rant bored. Whatever people say about you, ignore them. This is a website, and commonly people live miles away fromn one another, so who's to stop you from doing what you want?
As for the PM's. Like I said, people live far away from each other, and it's not like anyone's going to apperar and stop you from being what you want. So whats to stop you from, ignoring it, deleting it, and putting them on your ignore list?
Note: One thing though, this is a Balto fan site. Practicly everyone on here likes dogs wolves and foxes, and also other animals as well, so careful what you say if you like hunting, some people are offended by hunting, this may also be why you've got the rude pm's.
Like Ag Wolf said though, we don't want any Flame here.

However, opinions shouldn't be expressed as flames. I agree.... I personally find it quite disturbing. I of course understand wanting to make one's parents proud, but surely there are better ways of doing so. I can't see how killing a wolf (or any animal) would ever be a source of pride. Nor do I understand where the "adopted children attacked by a wolf" came from. I personally don't like hunting...but everyone's allowed their own perspectives of course. I figure people on here will be more pro-wolf though. So, do what you like, I suppose...

What exactly do you hunt? Are you a game hunter, or do you hunt for supplies?
I personally think game hunting is just a waste, but if you kill an animal to survive, so be it. But yeah, if you hunt wolves, and say it, be prepared to catch a lot of flak here...

humm so your going to hunt wolves for the fun of it hu? How is that going to make your dad proud? Or maybe I'm just mistaken. I can see hunting deer for meat and for there antlers, but just going out and killing wolves for fun makes me sick! And before anybody gets up all in my face im not flaming at him. I'm just stating my thoughts on this. I dont really see what your dad would be proud of? If you went out and shot a wolf for the fun of it! I can see your dad being proud of a buck that you shot down with big antlers, but not of shooting a wolf down for no reason!

Big_Game_Hunter wrote: Alpine, I am 12 yrs old. I don't hunt, yet. I will be a game hunter! So you'll be a game hunter...hunting for supplies? Or are you killing for sport? If you're killing for sport, I will pray every night (despite being agnostic) that your bullets catch up with you. Sport hunting is a waste. If you hunt for supplies and intend to use everything (bones as tools, meat for food, fur for warmth and intestines to feed your animals,) then I have nothing against that.

It is understandable. But those animals you would hunt, Probably will never harm you.

To be honest, I find hunting for just the thrill to be despicable. It would be acceptable if it was to survive, but game hunting is nothing but gruesome, and it makes me sick. There are a couple of things I would like to poke on.
1. First of all, how can anyone possible be able to kill an animal without a good reason (which the only two good reasons are protection or survival)? How can anyone stare into the eyes of an animal they are just about to kill? I find people who are able to do so as monsters.
2. Your dad becomes proud because of your game hunting? There are other ways to impress your dad on, but hunting shouldn't be one of them. And if your parents are not impressed by whatever good thing you do (that means, f.ex making something) there is something seriously wrong. (exceptions does apply, which are tabu to mention here). You don't have to kill to impress.
3. Even though your father will leave you his guns when he is released from this mortal world, it doesn't mean you MUST use them. You shouldn't become a game-hunter when you "grow up", but who am I to stop you if you really wish?
Just my 5 cents.
But, you should just report those who have flamed or insulted you through the PM's.
