Can music have a stong influence on you?

I know it can. If I listen to the wrong kind of music long enough, I end up doing things that I'm not going to talk about here, but let's just say I'm not very proud of them. Usually, I listen to music that cheers me up so that I can remain stable emotionally.

I'm not really sure. I usually listen to sad/depressing music, but I'm always happy.

Whoa there... looks like I better make sure that Luka isn't listening to that wrong kind of music around me, or methinks he is probably going to do something vile and despicable to me out of sheer, uncontrollable spite and anger... *Gulps.*

Music can definitely have an influence on you.
It can change the way you think, the way you act
And depressing music doesn't always make you sad.
Because it's not necessarily DEPRESSING music for one thing.
it can make you feel like you're not alone if you have felt that way
also, there can be some light in most "depressing" songs.
like it ends on a good note or has a good message behind it.
When I listen to music, lyrics are really important to me because
I always really listen to the music, and the meaning of it.

Heck yes! It gets my creative mind fired up! I also use music (mainly Angels & Airwaves and a couple songs by Coldplay) for meditative purposes, as I find that they have meditative qualities. In fact, whenever I need to brainstorm for assignments in my photography class, my preffered method of doing that is by listening to music!
