I love to watch Silverwing at 4:30 AM. My favorite character is Chinook!

As far as I know, they haven't made a movie of it. I know they had a play ((which I really wanted to see)), and a tv show. I thought the show was okay, but it didn't really follow the plotline of the books. They kind of mixed Silverwing and Sunwing together, which I was kind of mad about. It was fun to watch, though. I liked Shade, Chinook, Orestes ((I think that's how you spell it)), and Romulus in the TV series, but I liked Shade and Marina in the books.

Actually in the USA, Toon Disney showed the entire Silverwing series in the form of (I think) three movies. The good thing is that the season box set is now available on DVD (going to get my copy soon, so I can watch what I missed!), but I don't know if it's in the TV form (episodes) or the film form (the three-part films - thanks, Toon Disney!).

I will find this out and tell you once I look at it! (UPDATE: Apparently, the DVD version is in the TV format - 13 episodes. So, I guess about four episodes were put together to make the film-versions that were shown on Toon Disney . . . and I was right! The first film, titled "A Glimpse of the Sun," had at least the first four/five episodes, while the other two, "Towers of Fire" and "Redemption" had the rest of the series.)

Actually, I saw the first "film" in its entirely and most of the second, but from what I saw, I enjoyed it. It's not your typical "animal-centric" show; the characters are well-developed and all have good reasons to do what they do. The background story of why the bats were considered as outcasts and why they were forbidden to ever see the sun was a great way to set the plot in motion for the main character of Shade, the smallest of the Silverwings. (Although I always liked Marina best, Shade comes in a close second)
