Hello. This is my third wolf story, funnily enough, this is my third actual story. I really hope you enjoy this one.
Chapter One: Looking Different
Five wolf dog hybrid puppies nursed off their mother, Nina. Nina and her newborn puppies were inside a shed with her owner, Gabriella. Nina's mate, Akecheta, couldn't come to see her give birth because the town she and her family live in doesn't accept purebred wolves like Akecheta. The only time they can be together is only at night or away from the town. Nina laid her head down and rested and thought about how she was going to tell Akecheta about the puppies.
three to four months later, the puppies grew healthy, playful, and strong. Gabriella named each of them based on their personalities. The first born was named Sitala which meant good memory, Sitala had better memory than any of her family members so they would always rely on her to remember something important. The second born was named Ahote, which meant restless one. Ahote would never calm down, whenever it was time for bed, he would stay up very late but he would still get up very early to play. The third born was named Kitchi which meant brave. Kitchi was brave like his father and mother, he would stand up to anything that would hurt him or any of his siblings. The fourth born was named Viho which meant cheif. Viho always sees himself as a leader, even though he's the second youngest. The fifth and last born was named Kanti which meant sings. Kanti loves to sing, but she never sings in public, even though her voice is beautiful. Kanti was the one who seemed the most different, she and Viho were the only puppies that looked wolfish, but Kanti looked more wolf, and she always knew it. She didn't like how she looked more wolfish than any of her siblings, but she was never ashamed of it.
"Why do I look so different?" Kanti asked her mother one day.
"You may have inherite your looks from your father," asnwered Nina, "But just because you look different from your siblings, doesn't mean it's a bad thing, it's very unique. You know Balto?" Kanti nodded and Nina went on, "Jenna had puppies a long time ago and one of them looked like a wolf like her father. And do you know where she is now?" Kanti shook her head and Nina answered, "She's now a great leader of a wolf pack. And Balto and Jenna still see her every now and then. So you musn't be ashamed of who you are." She nuzzled Kanti and ran to her owner so she could be hooked up for her race.
