okay this has been bothering me for some time. so i will let my thoughts out here.
if there is so much members on this site (5822) then why is it that in the petition there is only 822 signs right now? if only half of the members here would sign the petition it would enough and i have noticed that most of the members here have gone in to thin air. so why did they become a member in the first place if they don´t post or do anything? just for fun? what im trying to say is that if we could somehow encourage more members here to sign the petition the petition would be full in no time and it´s not an excuse to say my parents didn´t let me to sign.
if you don´t know how to sign you can always ask for help. if you don´t care to sign then you are not a true balto fan. if you don´t want to put your name/adress you can always use fake name/adress.
there,my mind is now in peace. if you are disagreeing or there is anything else on your mind please do tell.

Members come and go, that's a fact of websites. When traffic starts dipping down, it usually means something: There needs to be a major change or improvement, or, the website is just old. People get bored of things, and I think that's what's happening here, they come in, the newness fades away, and they go find another site. It's also a matter of interest too, Balto doesn't seem to have as much interest to people as it did two or more years ago.
About the petition: I'm not sure many people even care, as for me, I've seen Balto so many times, that it's just another case in my DVD collection. Lol

Lol yeah, but im talking about members who come here in 2006 and do nothing they just disappear.they don´t even get a chance to get bored when they just disappear leaving with no trace. I mean how can they judge this awesome site with just a look of it. im just wondering. even if the people don´t care to sign they should think about the fans out there.

Quote: When traffic starts dipping down, it usually means something: Err, excuse me but that's wrong : the traffic increase is pretty regular, and why do you think we had to move the site to a better server? Quote: There needs to be a major change or improvement, or, the website is just old. People get bored of things, and I think that's what's happening here, they come in, the newness fades away, and they go find another site. Just like any site, I would say. Well no, in fact, you will rarely encounter active non professional sites that are more than 2 years old : there is either no activity or the site just closed down. Quote: It's also a matter of interest too, Balto doesn't seem to have as much interest to people as it did two or more years ago. Well that would be logical, since there has been nothing new officially released since Balto 3. And this was two years ago. Coincidence? Surely not. The petition is there to make things change. Quote: About the petition: I'm not sure many people even care, as for me, I've seen Balto so many times, that it's just another case in my DVD collection. Lol Talk for yourself... To me, that just means you've been a fan but not anymore. Well there are many multiple accounts, even though this isn't allowed. According to the poll, only 50% of the active members have signed it, and the reasons are self explanatory. I also wonder how can 10% vote "I don't care", and still come on the site...

When traffic starts dipping down, it usually means something:Quote: Err, excuse me but that's wrong : the traffic increase is pretty regular, and why do you think we had to move the site to a better server? Traffic with new members has increased, but the older members seem to not be returning as frequently, if they even do. I probably should have addressed that issue earlier. About the petition: I'm not sure many people even care, as for me, I've seen Balto so many times, that it's just another case in my DVD collection. LolQuote: Talk for yourself... To me, that just means you've been a fan but not anymore. I would say, with all technicalities addressed, that I was talking for myself, since I added "not sure." I really don't know just how many people care, but 822 votes kind of sums it up. But yeah, I am a fan, not anything more.

Well that's not exactly the topic, but as I said, that's the same for any site. I'll try to improve that situation (I'm talking about the petition), although it seems I'm always the only one to really try to make things change, and it's becoming tiring. That's why I'm a bit glad to see this topic, at least someone else care.

Steet, I commend you. I signed the thing and I encourage everyone else to sign it as well. Use a made up name if you must; I signed the thing HrryNrmn, although that is obviously not my real name.
As for Alpine, I've seen many problems brought up, but few answers proffered. It is always terribly easy to find fault, but not so easy to rectify it. Maybe instead of complaining and pointing out problems, you ought to lend a hand.

But I'm really not creative when dealing with people problems, like this one. I would say that the members who've been here for X amount of time, get some sort of exclusive perk, like the senior box (or whatever it was called,) just better. What that is? I have no clue, XD My $.02.

yeah, don´t get it. So then in order to be a member of the site, you have to sign the petition? I'm with Claymore on that one. I'll be honest here: I would like to have a Balto Special Edition DVD. But it isn't my world. I have better things to worry about, and a cartoon wolfdog is not one of them. If I decide to sign, then I will. It isn't something I want to do now. It's not like I haven't heard about the thing - everywhere I look I see the freaking petition - but maybe not all of us want that. Nothing you say will change my mind, and if not signing the petition makes me "not a true fan" then I guess that means I'm not a true fan. So what? I'll be outcast by people who make everyone call them "Balto"? (Yes, I know that not everybody on BS does that, and I mean no offence to BS members). People will see me on the boards and think "Oh, there's that jerk who killed Balto"? I don't care! In fact, I could make a rant of my own about the petition! Back to the above; if you have to sign the petition in order to be a member, then so be it. I don't want to be a member.

Quote: So then in order to be a member of the site, you have to sign the petition? no. of course not. im just wondering why there are so many members on this site who hasen´t sign the petition. you are here because you like balto right? it would be obvious that any member on this site would sign the petition but seems like it isn´t that simple. nobodys trying to force the members to sign the petition.
