I agree with both of you, the two Lion King's were RUINED if not MAULED by The Lion King 3 (or 1/2 in other countries). I think it was supposed to be funny, but to be honest, it made me cry a little inside XD
Timon and Pumbaa are depicted well by their voice actors, and I can stand them for the first movie, maybe even the second... but the third killed me o.o

I like them a lot for the first two movies, but the series and Lion King 1 1/2 overdid it really badly.

They belong to my list of favourite characters. If Timon and Pumbaa did not exist, the films would not be as memorable as they are today. They would add a little humour if things got too intense.
