Ok. On Music topics, you can talk about bands/singers or genres that you like or dislike. BUT, when someone posts a topic like 'Kiss Fans?' or something, people will post 'I dont loike this band at all. Sorry.' Its really a waste of space, and isnt nessacery! If the topic says 'FANS' then, if you dont like them...then heres an idea: DONT POST!!! whats the point? Are you going to rant about how much you abosolutely hate a band/singer?!

Ugh. It grinds my gears when people do that. Does anyone feel the same?

I agree. It's the same for all topics. Someone will post about a book/movie/band and then someone will reply saying 'nope haven't seen it,' or 'No never heard of them.' As you said, it's a pointless waste of space. If you've never heard about tthat book/movie/band, but you want to know more, I feel it is alright to post 'Nope, I've never heard of it but I'd like to know more about it.'

I disagree. Members have the right to say they dislike a band as long as they do it with manners,politely and possibly an explaination. But, if all they have to say is, "I don't like it. Sorry." Then, I count it as spam. If they can't elaborate on WHY they don't like the band, they shouldn't post at all in that thread.

BUT. As I clearly stated, when a topic is titled 'Beatles FANS' or something, it's clearly stated that if you dont like lie the band, then you really dont need to post.

I agree with you. We've had a similar discussion before and pretty much everyone agreed.

Anyway, it's not like when people say, "Beatles FANS", that doesn't mean that ONLY Beatles fans can post in that topic. And if they have a point they'd like to share as to why they don't like them, is it so wrong to say so? And you ESPECIALLY can't hold it against them if they do it politely. Like Emily said, if they merely state that they suck, then go ahead and rip them to shreds...

But...eh...what do I know, right? If the author of a topic wants ONLY the fans of his featured band/author/artist/actors/whatever, then they aren't going to get that many posts...

yes, i agree, this is a little bit annoying, even though sometimes i feel the need to do something like this.
