For those of you who saw the movie back in the day, then forgot about it... how did you end up coming back to it? Did you perhaps see it on movie store shelves? Did the movie air on TV? Did you see it in your friend's video collection?

When Balto first aired on Cartoon Network's Cartoon Theater, I watched the middle of it. Not too long after, I watched through Wolf Quest either on Cartoon Network's Cartoon Theater or on one of the Disney channels. That didn't truly rekindle my interest.

Skip to this year. My mind was wandering to assorted things, and it wandered to Balto. Shortly after, there was an ad for Wings of Change on one of the Disney channels. Unfortunately, I missed it, but just thinking about it and hearing about it made me really want to revisit a fond memory. That's how I got to watching it again (and again :P), and how I ended up here.

My Grandfather had Balto on VHS and I think I watched at it least once before. In Septemeber last year I joined The Lion King Fanart archive. I saw a lot of Balto art and I thought 'Hey this movie looks good.' So I typed up Balto on the Internet and found Balto Source. I eventually got Balto on DVD as an early Christmas present. I re-watched it and it felt like deja-vu. I knew I'd seen it once before. In January, I finally picked up enough courage to join Balto Source.

I introduced my wolf-crazy friend to Balto, and she loved it! She swore that she'd seen it before.

Cool, your mom saw it and likes it?

If I ever have kids I'm definitely going to get them into it :P

I never forgot Balto!

Heheheh, how'd you wind up here a day after me then? :D

Still though, it feels good to revisit something long forgotten, and then find out that it truly was great.

When I was a cub, ( 1997 ), I loved watching it because I loved seeing dogs on tv ( I didn't even know the story, Because I was 2 years old ) But I still enjoyed it.
So, Then came 2003, old enough to understand the movie. I wathced it all by myself at my grandmother's and I finally rememberd it from when I was a younger cub. I was crying because it was when Aniu told balto to get up and they were howling together. ( Believe it or not, It still makes me all choked up.... )
Finally, Here comes 2006 summer holiday ( 3 years later ) I was at my favourite holiday beach... Wasaga beach, Barrie, Ontario, Canada. I was there with my family, My cousin, and my grandparents and Wasaga beach awlways has a flea market and we always go. So, My mom and I were looking for some movies. I of course looked straight trough it and guess what? Balto. There it was, Dusty a chiped case. I was screaming my head off because it was a huge memory. I was happy the rest of my holiday.
So, Since then, I'm a huge Balto fan, And I have the guts to love him always.

In a world full of 3D deepless cartoons in CG? Good luck. :P

Over the Hedge, Hoodwinked, Open Season, The Wild & Meet the Robinsons are just a few examples of CGI that were easily forgotten without a second thought. None of these are classics. They were all hastily put together by massive teams of 3d modelers. Balto on the other hand, is a classic. Just about everyone above the age of 14 knows of or has seen this movie. Best yet, it's based off a true story and gives children something to relate to.

As for myself, I just rediscovered Balto last month. I watched at a cousin's house and was reunited with my childhood memories. When I got back home, I went out and bought it. Excellent!

Well, I was having one of those periods where I just had that random urge to watch a kids movie, so it was an eenie-meenie-miney-mo deal, and...yeah. XD
