well... i know that there has been a topic like this, but i can't find it so i'll make one. um.... just post up poems and yeah, so i'll post up one of mine now and then later.
oh and my spelling is not that good at all.

Love

True love,
is always like a dove.
Free,
and full of glee.

The first dance,
true romance.
And that first kiss,
hopfully you didn't miss.

The tears that were shed,
well your face turned red.
Yet those tears were for joy,
cause you found the right boy.

The first time down the ile,
it felt like a mile.
But he is your true love,
And you know it's like a dove.

Personally, I think both of your poems are beautiful. I'm not much of a 'poem writer', but here are a few attemps at some:

This one's by me and my sister...

Alone in the darkness
Alone in this land
Your actions seem aimless
Too tired to stand

You stumbles past bushes
And everything burns
You think you are nothing
Yet still your world turns…

Here's another about a wolf, probably one of my characters. It's more of a story-poem, since I don't like making them rhyme...

I remember what it was like
When I was with others
When they were incharge of my fate.
I was broken and bruised,
Hurt, neglected and forgotton,
Among that power hungry pack,
Who strived on other’s weakness to survive.
The weakness of one,
The weakness of me.
I’ll never forget them
Never
Never
I know I won’t.
They have burned my head with lies
About family and the truest friends
How they would never leave you when you’re in pain.
But now I know
Those were only
Lies.

They did me no good
Not now, not then
If they did, I wouldn’t be alone
Left to wander through this dark, rejecting path
That life takes you on.
But alas. I will return.
I can tell you that.
I’ll return and show them truth.
And show them justice.
I hope to forgive them, and tell them the stories
Of my dark troubles.
And I will make sure
That for all generations,
They will hear what’s real
And won’t hear
What is fake.
And I know
That they will hear
Everything but
Lies.

edited

well i think i shall edit my thing here and the write another poem. theis one is called Fade

as i said before there are spelling errors

me as my love will fade,
into the distence decayed.
my soul to the sky,
we all shall die.

memmories of what i've play,
will soon fade.
i'd rather sit at home eating ice-cream,
insted of hearing you scream.

the name of your master,
do you think he'll come faster.
he to will soon fade,
for you have betrayed.

the souls that were made,
will also fade.
into the black of night,
and that night there will be a fright.

with all the body parts,
you kept their hearts.
now i must be layed,
before i fade.

Wonderful poems people. For English, we've been studying Shakespeare and how he writes in a form called Iambic Pentameter. It's where you have ten syllables for each line, and you stress alternate syllables.

Here's my attempt:

The Hare

The hare is a very cunning creature,
Sitting in the field of lush green grass.
His ears are his most well-known feature
And his golden eyes are as bright as brass.

He's swifter than the clouds that cross the sky
And more sly than the foxes autumn red.
He can outrun the unforgiving eye
Of the great hawk that could strike him down dead.

Of all the animals that roam the land
And the forest and the high mountain bare,
Not a single one has the upper hand
Over the bright, swift and cunning brown hare.

Good ol' Yupik always looks out
For topics that don't belong.
I'm one who seems to doubt
That the place for this topic is wrong.

Okay, that was weird. I couldn't help it!

This is actually one of the most popular rhyme schemes in literature, ABAB, which, when continued, creates a Shakespearean sonnet, which are really quite nice. ^^
