No, tiger/lion crosses are possible. They're called ligers or tigons - the difference being the genders of the parents (yes, I know they have a male and a female parent xD But if it was a male lion/female tiger or a male tiger/female lion cub).
EDIT: And eh... please don't stretch the post like that. Kind of annoying...

Yup. And I think that there are lions that don't get a very full mane. Not sure, though. That's one animal that I really don't know much about. XD
But white lions are cool. Rare, which makes it even cooler. XD

These lions are not albino. Their white colour is a result of reduced melanin in the skin. Melanin is a pigment that protects the skin from sunburn. This is why people living in hot countries have darker skin, and also the reason why you get a suntan.
Now sometimes, due faulty genes, there can be too much melanin in the skin, like the 'black panther,' which is actually a leopard.
Sometimes, (also due to genetics) there's less melanin in the skin, like our white lions and white Bengal tigers.

It explains what the lion is in the article, but Canis Lupis has already said why they are white

Bengal tigers are white. I guess that another name for a White Bengal would be 'snow tiger,' although the first white tiger was found in the jungle.
As for white lions, you find them mostly in zoos, because in the wild their coat makes them stand out more. This means that young cubs can be easily picked off by hyenas, and the lions' prey would see them very easily - leaving them to starve.
