Howl's moving castle is based on a book with the same name by Diana Wynne Jones, I've read the book a lot I saw that there are some parts that the film has but the book doesn't. BTW, Howl looks better with  black hair and here's how I rate all the Hayao Miyazaki's film that I've seen:
/ Spirited Away
/ Laputa: Castle in the sky
/ Mononoke Hime
/ Howl's moving Castle
/ Only Yesterday
/ Grave of the fireflies
/ My Neighbor Totoro
/ Sherlock Hound
/ Kiki's Delivery Service
