Once at school last year at lunch time i was walking around when this girl came up to me (because i am knowen as the animal girl and when someone finds an animal they come and get me strait away.) and she said "QUICK! come and look at this!" so i was walking down the path when i saw this crowd of people standing in a circle. I shuffled through all the people and then I saw this little baby abandond Rainbow Lorikeet! ( I live in australia and lorikeets are Australian birds so those people that don't know what a Rainbow Lorikeet is then look it up on Yahoo or google and you shall find out) Before anyone could harm it i quickly walked up to it and picked it up with my bare hands and then I started to run away back into my classroom. I asked my teacher if i could borrow a small rag or a blanket to rap it up in. And I am DEFINATLY KNOW that it was abandond because later on i found out that it was born with a orquad leg. I named him Loki!^^ eventually he was old enough to go back out into the wild! Luckly there is a flock of Lorikeets living in our back yard! So we gently let him go and let him sore up into the trees with the other Lorikeets. And if it wasn't for me that poor animal would have died!
And now we still see him every now and then! He is as happy as ever now!
