I need some help here, I need some lights to go on my racing rig. What i would like is some suggestions on what lights to get for my rig.

I've found a light set that one team are using Lumicycle 20 watt Lamps
http://www.lumicycle.com/Product/produc ... t=SYSNIMH2
The problem with these is they are VERY expensive.

The lights need to be light weight because i'm only running a 2 dog team for the first season. AND the lights CANNOT be powered by car batteries, its against the rules.

Oh and my first race is a night race... XD
Any help much appreciated!

We used a high powered bycicle light on our rigs, you don't want to power with a car battery because they are waaaaay too heavy to carry! These lights are hologen (I think) and are very light weight with a removable battery for charging. The light mounts to the handlebars of the rig. I am sorry I can't remember the name nor make of them but I am sure if you do a search for good quality mountain bike lights you will find them or similar.

We train at night on private land and go over a mountain bike track, very narrow with lots of trees, these lights are fantastic and you can see just as well with car head lights on high beam!

I thought the halogen lights were the best option, but i wasn't sure so i posted the topic... I saw a team that use the Lumicyle lights "Trailend" from the South west trail blazers.

So High power bicycle light, Thanks for your help.

Also any chances of any training tips?
