Most people have which gender they are in their profile which you can see by clicking that person's name, there's no shame in asking....or getting it wrong either, we're all on the internet after all, not like we can see each other (...wow, would'nt that be weird?), I say just ask for now, maybe if Steet has the time for a minor update and feels like it, this could be on his list?

People always mistake me for a guy 'cause my two usernames were boy names (Ashur, Blake). I think have a symbol by the name may help, but I like confusing people about my gender . Don't ask, I'm always bored XD.

I agree with UK. I dont really see this as nessicary. Heck, I really didn't like the icons at first, I dont think we need something else. Its just another way to provoke laziness. Some people do not even put their gender in their profile - so at that point it wouldn't matter if you put an icon up for it or not, you would still have to ask.

Mhm. I agree with UK and Maya. I really don't think this is something we would ever need. If you want to know if someone is a guy or girl, just ask them.

There is an icon in your comments on the site, if you specified your gender in your site profile. As for the forums, well maybe in the new version, I'll see about that.

The idea does sound cool.

Whitewolf (uk) I hope not to offend you but what if it didn't show which gender they are on their profile.Catwhohas14tails and I and others probably others like Spirit the Cat don't show which gender we are because...I don't know...anything?Anyway,I think I agree with his/her idea even though myself do not chat on the shout box or anywhere else because I would probably be ticked off at someone who did.Like someone called me the opposite gender and I got pretty embarresed.Probably angry too...
Yeah but if people don't have which gender they are in their profile then they wouldn't have a symbol anyway would they?
I just don't think it's essential to the site, possibly Steet could add it to his "To do" list and code it if he feels like when he's got some spare time but I think something like this could probably wait for a while.
And don't worry, it didn't offend me, you're just staing your opinion.
