why cant we talk in slang language because i'm use to talking like that!!!!

We don't talk slang here because forums are supposed to be formal and polite places to chat. They're not like MSN Messenger. This isn't really a rant either since a rant should consist of at least a paragraph or so.

I think you got a proper answer, and I think it's pretty accurate that you're not allowed to use slang language, it's a bit of impolite, so yeah.

"You" is only two more letters than "u", and "before" is only four more letters than "b4". How hard is it, honestly, to type properly? It really isn't to hard. And it helps to type properly so when you are doing school reports or things - you wont have to struggle or get marked a grade down because of typing "y" insted of "why".

Some people type so terrible you cant even tell what they are typing. For example, "hay u wut ^ will u tlk 2 me plz stop ignoring me tlk 2 me now!!!11! y wont u tlk 2 me plz ppl say sumtin u no u wana!!1!11".. Now, talking like that really isn't far to anyone in the shoutbox.. because half of us have to strain to read it. So obviously no one can speak like that, so there was a rule made for it. And sense its not fair to let some people speak SMS (even if its only "u" or "r" that they use), its removed completely.

SMS isn't ment for forums or the shoutbox. Actual people who aren't worried about how fast they type, but worry about typing properly (to an extent) go there; respect that.

I also agree.And also this is why we do not use slang language:SMS language bothers and annoys people like steet said in the rules.Also like Canis said:This isn't like MSN messanger...Its just an opinion so please don't get angry...

Well if you're going to make a fit about it, then you should not have asked this question. You wanted answers, you got them, and now you're complaining about them. I just don't get it. And we son't talk slang because, like it's been said, it is rude, impolite, and sometimes other people don't understand it.

It's hard enough for some of us to read without having to "decode" SMS. Don't be angry and lash out, that's just gonna get you a all-expense paid trip to Ban-Land. and we don't want to see that. You'll get used to it, and it'll help some of us a lot!
