I like both.
I worship Disney but Universal makes some excellent movies.

LOL... Universal makes plenty of childish movies. That's not a very good reason IMO.
I like Universal better. They made both of my favorite animated movies of all time: Balto and The Land Before Time.

thats a common misconception (lol sounding smart) when people think of Disney, first think they think is cartoon, but actually Disney has a lot of films for all ages. live and animated. and even todays animated movies contain things not suited for children.
now that im done being smart xD
i vote Disney, cuz theres just some many moves by them that i love. both animated and live.

I definately like Universal better. One, because Disney just isn't the same anymore. Now it's all, "OMG, lyke...HIGHSCHOOMUSICALRAWKS!!LETS MAKE ANOTHER ONE!!!" and there aren't any really great movies anymore. (like Bambi and TLK, and so on) But I do say, Universal has made some pretty bad movies (can't name them now XD) and I'm not totally AGAINST Disney. I'm just...leaning more to Universal.
But I do have to say, Disney has made a lot of great movies in its time, like TLK (the series, too), 101 Dalmatians, Bambi, and so on. But now I think Disney has taken it a little too far with the "moral of the story" thing. I mean, we know that if you put a movie about a person finding his/her dreams and being his/her self, the moral is to be yourself whatever people think. But if they slap in some songs and they say, "remember, just be yourself! its all that counts!!!" then I think they're going off the edge.
((sorry if its long, I'm in a rambling/ranting mood XD))

I'll put it this way: Disney is like the New York Yankees. They're a little past their prime, but they've had so many all-stars over the years that they are nearly synonymous with animation. Disney was my childhood, man! I grew up on Bambi, Peter Pan, Snow White, etc. Not to mention, my childhood was the one that saw the Disney Modern Golden Age. From the late 1980's to mid-late 1990's, Disney couldn't miss. You had The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, not to mention some throwaway movies (which were STILL good by most people's standards) like The Great Mouse Detective. Disney was an unstoppable train! I could continue and point out the downfall of Disney and why I think it happened, but, hey, that's a story for another day.
If I had to pick an honorary all-time favorite studio, though, I'd give the nod to Don Bluth Productions. If you want to talk about a guy who would let it all hang out, this was your man. He was, in my book, the best animator and director of my lifetime. His animation work on Robin Hood and others was second to none. In his own right, the movies he directed, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, and All Dogs Go To Heaven (or ADGTH, as the cool kids call it), are classics in every sense of the word. Unfortunately for Bluth, his movies never got the critical acclaim that Disney's did. After about 1993, his movies took a decided downturn in quality, even though he finally got some acclaim with Anastasia. Bluth's movies always had an edgy bite to them that I appreciated and enjoyed. Whether doing a movie based around a mock-up of Elvis (Rock-a-Doodle), immigrant Russian Mice (An American Tail), or a con-artist dog and his gangster friends (All Dogs Go To Heaven), Bluth was a certified master of animation.

I like both, not just for animated movies either, I like the lie-action movies from both companies too.
What happened to Dreamworks? XD, that's also another very good movie company for animated and live-action.

Really, I can't stand some Disney stuff like Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, etc. because I can't stand standard princess stuff. Princes, princesses, romance... that was never my thing, and never will be. My reasons for liking Disney have more to do for their fantasy adventures like Shrek, The Rescuers, and The Emperor's New Groove.
This is also why I prefer Universal. They've proven to be capable of matching Disney, and they exclude certain elements which make Disney annoying.
