There's games out there that are amazing, but never attain their rightful status.

For example, there's this one multiplatform game called Beyond Good and Evil. It came out for Gamecube, Xbox, PS2, and PC. It's the absolute best multiplatform game of it's time. The game only lasts 10 hours, but for the time it lasts, it's absolutely perfect.

What are some games you've played that are awesome, but didn't do that well on the market?

One of my favorite games is Halo 1 and 2. I think Halo 1 did better on the market though, because they didn't spend as much time on Halo 2 than Halo 1.

Also Star Wars Republic Commando was a great game! The plot, setting and all of the action in it was amazing!

I like the game, "Victory at Hebron," but I doubt anyone here has ever heard of it.

Yeah, its not overrated because its a good game but far from under rated cause nearly all console players know it and say its a great game

Yeah, it's not overrated, but if it is anything it is definitely not underrated.

For me it's Okami.
Despite it's award winning performance, it's an highly underrated game.
200,000 copies sold in America and 66,000 in Japan. That's weak in the market.
Plus very little advertisement outside the E3 events it was in.

Gladius, you can get it for GameCube, XBox and PS2. It's a great adventure/fighting RPG based on the gladiatorial game. When I first got it I didn't like it, but after playing it a couple of times it quickly became one of my favorite games.

IMO, Halo is as overrated.

I've seen that game so many times, but I've always avoided getting it. You always hesitate to gamble on the games you know nothing about.

It's MUCH better than Starcraft, and it's much more innovative.

While Total Annihilation looks like a very in-depth, highly detailed RTS game, that is an extremely dangerous assertion, even more so when not backed by reasons. Starcraft is one of the most balanced RTS games, with legendary gameplay. South Korea and other places have massive competitions. One huge tournament is WCG Tour. http://www.sclegacy.com/tournaments/wcg2002.php

If you don't like Starcraft, that is perfectly fine, of course. Just don't go saying TA is better without good reason, please. Just because TA is ahead of its time, or more innovative, doesn't necessarily make it better than Starcraft. I have nothing more to say about TA, as I have never played it. I am simply defending Starcraft.

On to the question of the topic....Some underrated games are...C&C Renegade, and from what I hear, Aliens vs. Predator. (Not the RTS one, the FPS one.) Personally, I have never played AVP, so I can't say anything about it. I have only heard it is highly underrated.
