(I have seen one topic like this, maybe even more than one, but I actually put info into it and worked slightly hard to put this together. ;] Lock it if you must, but I think the info will do everyone good).
This article contains no real spoliers to the series itself.
This is one of my favorite book series, ever! I got the first book, " Wolf Brother", when my step-mom randomly ordered it for me, thinking I'd like it. And I adored it! I finished it quickly, and waited for the second, and the third... Its great! I haven't been so egar to read the next book in the series for any series! Not even for WARRIORS by Erin Hunter. I personally cannot find a better book that I would want to read, at least in a series. I could read/listen to these books over and over again, and not get tired of them. I always have my step mom order them from the UK, so I can get it before those who wait for it to come out in the USA. The series just really caught my attention, and I am pleased to have found it. I love it enough to share it with all of you. I hope you all read this book, and enjoy it as much as I have.
Guess what! You all can listen to "Wolf Bother" directly online now!! This is brand new, and simply amazing! Click here to listen to it. So far, as of 14/06/07, there are only two parts ready - up to chapter six. You have to be on the look out for the new ones as they come!! So you can enjoy this story now, insted of waiting to find it, order it, or whatever else. I'd suggest reading the book first, because its just more fun, but whatever you like! Its up to you! ;]

Since the age of ten, Michelle Paver has dreamed about running with the wild wolves in the prehistoric forest. Writing The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series has been a way for her to fulfill this dream. To research Wolf Brother, Michelle traveled through the forests of northern Finland and Lapland; slept on reindeer skins; ate lichens, forest berries, and pine resin (Stone Age chewing gum); and peered into the mouth of a very large brown bear. Born in Malawi, she moved to England as a young girl. She is the author of several adult novels, and this is her first children's book.

It doesn't tell anyone who hasn't read it anything about it. And you only mention the first book. This topic really has no right to be locked, because mine has more than plenty information on all three books, and more. I even listed the official website, and a way to LISTEN to the book. Mine has more than right to be here, honestly.

I wish they did too. And I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a bit of a change of pace. Its very different, and really not like anything I've ever read. I really adore Paver's way of writing. She simply grabbed my attention, and I am grateful that my stepmom randomly sent me the book. ;] Again, I recommend reading the series! Try the first book, if its not your taste, then at least you tried, eh?

Lonewulf wrote: Oh gosh I sooo want to read this book!XD (Wolf Brother) I saw it for order in a scholastic book fair paper, but I couldn't buy it.D: It seems like a really awesome book!
I'm pretty sure if you go to your local Barns 'N Nobles, and go to the kid/teen section, you will find it there. I believe I saw it at mine just a few weeks ago when I went looking for the Wolf's Rain manga and Balto on DVD. (I didn't find Balto on DVD, but I found the first vol. of Wolf's Rain. ;D)...
The book is a twist of old times, and magic. Magic that is not understandable. Some that is. A power that is beyond anyone. A 'prophecy' left in the hands of a young boy.... Its a really amazing story! When people ask me what book they should read, I generally tell them "The Chronicles of Ancient Darkness; Book One: Wolf Brother", because I just adore the book series so much. And I want others to enjoy it too.

I did read Warriors. Up to book Six, and I attempted to read Seven (Or book one of the new prophecy). As I tried to read it, it just couldn't keep my attention. Maybe it has keep your attention, but not mine. But reading the first six books was fun - read each one in less than a week. O:
But, I never said anyone would be more egar about Warriors. I just said I am more egar that I am for the warriors books. I dunno, I just find myself more interested in COAD. Maybe you will be too, but hey - thats not for me to decide, but for you to decide.
