Eh... I don't think Rosy was real. Sure, you saw a non-cartoon (live action) Rosy, but that doesn't mean she was a real person. She was created for the movie.

Rosy was not real, but she was probably based on the real children of that time. She kinda reminds me of Anna, a real girl who was infected by the disease.

The end credits say that it was a true story. However, the characters are mostly fictional any similarities are "hereby coincidental".
