Maybe you should add some info to your post. Some people may have never seen these and would like to know what they are about.
As for me, I've seen them both. Volcano was good, but to me Super Volcano was far better. (As long as I'm talking about the one that you are. Which is another reason to give information about the movies).
I watched Super Volcano not that long ago, in my Earth Science class. And while it was very awsome, it did kind of freak me out a little. Just the begining.. "This is based on a true story. It just hasn't happened yet." That I think kind of freaked out my whole class.
I loved how the movie was made. Where it was like.. actual movie, then it would flash to a character talking like it was a documentary. It was probably what added some of the excitment and suspence to the movie. Not only that, but just the fact that scientists KNOW that something like that has happened at least three times (if I'm not mistaken) before, and will happen again.

But I like the parts with the big guy and the police officer. They finally got along and helped people
