Well, you know how there's a report button on the shoutbox and everything? And how the mods are notified by private message whenever something is wrong? Well, I've noticed that the mods can't always get there in time whenever there's trouble, and so I thought that maybe we could have a sort of "call" button that calls any moderators (a sort of notification would pop up and tell them to come; I've seen it on a bunch of other sites and it works rather efficiently) that are online to the shoutbox right away. I think that would be easier; the bad guys would get banned faster, and it would make life a tad easier for the mods.

This sounds like a really good idea,it might even stop the people that like using the sms language system.

I think it's a good idea. Usually it takes way to long for people to be banned when they should be. It should make things a lot easier for the members, too, in a way.

But wait a minute, you say about a pop- up window? Well, in order to get there, there must be AT LEAST one Mod online, no?.. If I get it right, hmph...

sounds kinda cool. but if they werent online at all it would be useless. but if you could pm all the mods, chances are one of them are online.

Sounds good to me, though the only catch would be there would have to be a mod online for it to go through. And what if pop-ups are disabled for that? I have mine disabled for pms for the forum. But maybe there's a way around that I don't know.

Yeah, that's what I meant. All of the mods that could ban, anyway (since shoutbox mods aren't the only ones).

It's better than the report button that's for sure. But, like Draco said, some mods must have a pop-up blocker. Although, like she said, there might be a way around it. So, I guess that yes, it's a good idea. =P

Sounds like a really good idea, I don't know if this place can have something like but it'd sure help things, the number of times I've got on and seen a PM about something on the forums that happened hours ago and has already been dealt with, but in that time a fight could've caried on much longer than needed (or wanted).

Well the simple way to do this would be to send a PM to all the shout box mods.
But really, do the shout boxes mods would really like to be "called" like that all the time?! Just look at how the current report system is overused...

Thats because if one person does the slightest thing to tick off someone (or be 'rude' or such nonsense) then the offended/ticked off person hits the report button, and all its little friends hit it too. ;] I'm sure they do not realize that it isn't like the old system.
