Tell me if I'm right or wrong at some parts here ok? According to Disney, the cub Rafiki was holding in the end of the first movie was Kopa. They said that it was too boyish looking to be Kiara. Kopa was introduced as a cub in the 7 books made after the film. Kiara is said to be his little sister. Kiara was chosen to follow in Simba's footprints instead of Kopa because Disney believes that the story behind why he didn't appear in the next two movies was because a Lioness not known to the pridelands kidnapped him and took care of Kopa as if he was her own cub.

Kopa appeared in the 7 books that followed after the first movie, it was called 7 Adventures was it? Well, um, something like that. But what people want to know is why he disappeared in Simba's Pride.

Some people I know think that the reason Simba is so over protective of Kiara is because of Kopa. It would have been so much easier for everything if they just hadn't made those books, though. XD

wearedoomed wrote: Close, but no cigar. The film-makers claim that during production, the cub at the end of the 1st LK is in fact Kiara, dispite the multiple LK books. Because of this, Kopa was considered non-canon, meaning he had no real part in the series at all. But yes, Kopa is a popular subject of fanfics, along with possibles of his disappearances( Being kidnapped and/or killed by Zira being the most common explaination) yeah you got it i have all 6 of these books i enjoyed them but wether the books are canon or not is debatable

I wonder if they went with Kiara because they thought Kopa would be a Simba clone?. also Simba's Pride wouldn't work with Kopa and Kovu.. I guess Kopa and Vitani could work but maybe Zira or Scar wanted a male to kill Simba instead.. just recently discovered that someone on the Lilymud forums has some TLK Audio theatere tapes in German that has a couple of stories of Kopa and new Hyena characters,A cheetah, and an Elephant are described here.. http://lilymud.net/showthread.php?t=49214

Personally, i don't get it. Are these random people making up random characters and 'claiming' them to be in the film? Isn't this whole Kopa thing like..stealing a character from the film? As a kid when i watched the movies endless times i never heard of a Kopa..

So maybe it was kiara, just a very very young kiara! OR It was just there to show a second movie and that was its olny purpose OR it WAS kopa??! Well the peole who drew the characters in the LK 1 were different from the people who drew in LK 2 CanineXpert wrote: warriorcat*ndog wrote: i heard of him. people where saying simba and nala had a son before kiara and he misteriusly died even though i heard he was mentioned in a book.
