Who else enjoys video game soundtracks as much as real music? What games have some of your favorite soundtracks?
Mine:
-Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean - Best RPG soundtrack ever.
-Donkey Kong Country 2 - Atmospheric, relaxing, and upbeat all at the same time.
-Classic Nintendo games - Legend of Zelda theme, Super Mario Bros. theme, certain Kid Icarus tracks.
-Castlevania series - This franchise has a reputation for having a good soundtrack.

When I hear video game music all I can think about are bloody Dragonforce now -_-
SNES Super Mario Bros theme and Kirby theme are the best imo

Snake Eater - the Theme song for Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It is the most amazing song EVAHHH. When I first got the game... I INSTANTLY fell madly in love with the song, and looked up the lyrics on google, and learnt it off by heart. LISTEN to it...

Sierra's "The Hobbit" Soundtrack is AMAZING, and I also love Sega Genesis Sonic music- you just can't beat the Chemical Plant Zone's score^^

Both Kingdom Hearts themes. Sanctuary, mostly, since I've heard Simple and Clean so much.

Music from games like Perfect Dark (n64) the Unreal Tournament and Half Life series always gives me a rush, and I like the piano intro to Final Fantasy X. The Zelda over world theme is top stuff and Banjo-Kazooie tunes I've just realised has been stuck in my head for a couple of days now. Before playing any of the Tony Hawk games I actually hated music in general, because the only genres I previously heard of was (what i used to think, I don't mind it much now) the cringe worthy rap/pop thats all they showed on TV. I discovered music I enjoyed a lot thanks to this series.
