When you watched Balto 3: Wings of Change and saw how everyone treated him as a hero, have you gone back and compared that to how he got treated in Balto 1?

-In Balto 1, he was a despised outcast.
-In Balto 3, he was regarded as the village's hero.

Which Balto did you like better?

I liked Balto as an outcast better. Even though he had earned the status, I don't really like the famous, well-known guy as a main character.

I like the hero, better. The producers should have made him a big hero in the first movie, to spare us all the woe of Aleu and nasty sequels. ;]

But, that's just my opinion.

I prefer as an outcast, it's more...Well, I don't know, more feelings, more touching. Of course with the sequels they didn't have much choice, although Wolf quest eluded the question.

I'd have to say outcast as well. Why? It's because of the fact that he started off as an outcast that makes him more of a hero....IMHO. XDDD

I'd have to say outcast. I tend to find them more interesting and I grow more attatched to the character if they're not liked by many people/animals. I have a soft spot for outcasts.

I went for Balto as hero, whilst he was great as an outcast it's just better to see a happy Balto accepted by everyone because they (eventually) see what a nice dog/ wolf he is :)

I like Balto all the same, hero or outcast. I care more about the depth of his character.

Of course, this doesn't mean that I didn't like Balto 3 because Balto was a hero.

I actually hated, in Balto 2, how he wasn't regarded as a hero anywhere in the movie. I do prefer him as an outcast, but I couldn't help but wonder how the humans treated him after saving the town. Balto 2 didn't show any of that.
