I'm not sure where else to make this thread. There's none for technical help with the forum.

The avatar system isn't working for me. I've tried it twice, did everything correctly, and it won't show up. Here's what I did:

1: Clicked "Profile" on the navigation bar up top
2: Scrolled down to the "Avatar" section of the page
3: Clicked "Show Gallery" at the bottom
4: Clicked the option button below the picture I wanted
5: Clicked "Select Avatar" at the bottom

After doing that, it showed the picture I selected next to the Avatar section of the profile page. However, upon returning, my avatar did not show up next to my username. It's this picture by the way:


Yep, the silly picture of Star. I don't know if that's significant. What's wrong?

Hmmm...it's possible that it could be a glitch in the gallery, I don't know. But I do know that this topic belongs here: http://baltosource.timduru.org/balto-act-questions.html

If this isn't a rant, why did you post it here? -_- Seriously. But I think I may be able to help you. What format is the pic, do you know? Try converting it to Jpeg/Jpg, that is the basic format, that is accepted almost everywhere.

Er...has the questions page become invisible? 0_0.

Seriously, if you know it is'nt a rant why did you post it?

As for the avatar thing, did you click "Update Profile" at the bottom of the profile page?

It works just fine for me.

Says in the forum description that this is the place to ask if you have a problem with something here, does it not? Or are my eyes decieving me?

I wouldn't have thought to ask on the main page anywhere. This is a problem with the forum, so shouldn't one ask for help on the forum itself?

Regardless, thanks for all of the help, everyone. It's nice to have a place where everyone isn't all "OMG OMG it's in the wrong area inform teh modz and get him banned!!!11". I'll know where to ask next time.

Well this could mean that it is not in the right size or format. This has already been posted in the questions page. And silver was just given you advise. Unless I am blind I have seen people say things like: "It's not a rant, post it in the questions page" And now you know. Nobody said:
"Ban him Lock this now!!!" So just chill a bit and dont post non-rants here.

Well, accidents happen... people should try to understand that... but either way.... Did you get it fixed then? Because I an see your avatar, it's showing on my computer.
