This is pretty much a recommendation topic, because I'm curious about some things...

-Ginga Densetsu Weed. How is it? It's anthropomorphic, that's pretty obvious. But is it to the point where they don't act like animals, and seem more like humans in animal bodies? Also, how's the plot?

-Other family movies. Saw Brother Bear and liked it. Saw The Lion King, most of The Land Before Time, etc. What else is there? What movies have you fellow Balto fans enjoyed?

-Other stuff. Any other anime, cartoons, etc.?

Well, I guess it depends why you're a Balto fan.
Are you a big fan of dogs and wolves? Dog sledding? Or is it the style of drawing and animation that gets you?

For me, it's probably all of these things.
And the fact that it's based on a true story.

Other movies that I like that involve dogs/wolves or share the style of animation are..

Animated:

All Dogs Go To Heaven
Oliver & Company
Lady & the Tramp I & II
An American Tale
Watership Down

Live:

White Fang
Call of the Wild
Lassie
Eight Below
Snow Dogs
Iron Will

All of those, except for dog sledding. I also don't like the "spirit journey" mumbo jumbo that was in the second movie. Stuff like that kind of turns me off, but if the overall plot is good, and that stuff isn't so prominent as to get in the way of the plot, then I'm content.

Yes, I did appreciate Balto's good animation as well. I didn't even notice how good it was until the most recent time I watched it. The "atmospheric" (for lack of a better term) music was also a plus.

Also, has anyone ever watched the anime called Naruto? If so, did you ever notice how similar Naruto (the character) is to Balto (the character)? Naruto happens to be my favorite anime, for very similar reasons which I like Balto.

Naruto is a young boy who is hated and made fun of by his village because he has a nine-tailed fox demon sealed inside of him. Sound at all familiar? :P

Okay, nobody is telling me how Ginga Densetsu Weed is. Someone, please answer my questions about it.

How anthropomorphic is it? Do they actually act like dogs, or are they more like humans in dog bodies? Is the plot deep at all?

So wait... dogs can stand on two legs? And come on, how many times do I need to ask about the plot to get an answer?

They don't stand on two legs. They're pretty much like regular dogs however they have human-ish motives.

As for the plot, tis good. There's 2 arcs, one about a dog which excapes from an animal lab and the other is a war plot where a villian takes over the main character's utopia.

Forgot to thank you guys for all of the replies. Thanks!

I'll definitely check out Secret of NIHM, Ginga Densetsu Weed, and some of the other recommendations.
