Most domestic animals should not be over weight as it's bad for their health.

No, the fatter they are the more unheathy they are. But to skinny is also bad. Keep your cats in a normal wieght.

I don't know much about cats, but I have a friend at school who has a very fat cat. I think that cats control their weight more than people can. Every animal needs food and water.. obviously, if you're feeding the cat and it chooses to laze around all day then there's not much you can do. It can't be healthy for a cat to be obese... I don't know.

I know my vet has a poster in his office that shows the healthy girth for a cat. I'll check it and get back to you if you'd like the input.

I guess it would be alright if that cat had to survive in harsh winters to keep it warm. But other than that it's not healthy at all.

No, absolutely not. Any animal who is over weight is unhealthy. It's the same for humans, when you're fat, it isn't considered healthy...

Another animal people tend to think is suppose to be accessively over weight is the pig. As you know, some people keep pot-belly pigs as house pets. Alot of these people know that pigs can be unhealthily over weight but, there are some who purposely make sure they are overly fat. I can't blame them for not knowing but, they should do some research or consult a vet before getting the pig...

Do you think the more fat the cats get the more healthy they are? I heard that was true, but I want to know your opinon. My sis's cat is so fat I wander if it is safe for her to be like that.

And how old is you're sister's cat? My brother made his cat fat oh look at that I took care of it while it was on its death bed. But if you're talking about a Tom Cat well then thats normal for them. Put him/her on a diet unless you want it too die. Animals are like us. Don't eat healthy you die in you're sleep at age 50.

That's all I have to say. They'll get cancer, lukemia ect;...
