We all love it on our birthdays, am I right? Well, instead of making one topic for every birthday, we could make a sticky and people could post there. I think this will waste less space. If this is a bad idea, please let me know but all in all I like it.

Yeah seems like a nice idea to me and it should waste less space in the long tearm thoughts.

Thats a cool thought but most intrductions are used for birthday wishes to yourself and others

The new version of PhpBB offers a birthday notice...the forum will be upgraded to it soon.

Yes, it does. It will send people a PM on their birthday and such (if enabled).

Err, I wouldn't enable something like this, or we would get at least five PM every day, considering the number of members on the forums...
But they will be displayed.

A mod can still make a sticky, but the forum had been upgraded so birthdays should be displayed. Although, in order for this to work, you need to write your day and month of birth either in your forum or your site profile.

I have seen succesful birthday stickies on other sites, and I think it's a great idea. Would take up much less space, and reduce spam.
