Okay, we know in the first movie, Balto was treated like dirt. In the second the STILL teased him, and he saved the town. In the third, all of a sudden he got respect. What is up with that?

Well, in the second, Balto said that only some of the dogs still teased him. Also, when the third film was being made, a few changes occurred.

I've wondered that too. In the second movie, in spite of all that he did, he's still living on that abandoned boat? The only conclusion I can come up with is that he did that on his own will so that he could stay with Boris.

Didn't Balto 3: Wings of Change simply ignore the fact that he's part wolf?

Actually in the 2nd moovie he was only told that some dogs teased him still in the 3rd it wasn't even talking abbout how he was wolf, even when they did they wolf howl it was a sign for respect.

Well on that basis you can just say that in Wolf Quest they completely ignored his 'doggy' side, he is half and half, so in WoG after being friendly with Nome for 3 years maybe he's just naturally become doggy around the other dog breeds?

Where in the film did you get that he was still teased in Wolf Quest? I don't think so. And the boat was an important part of him, so the authors just let him stay live there.

I believe there was a brief mention to Jenna that Balto was still being teased by some of the other dogs about being part wolf...

Yeah, he's talking to Boris. It's when he tells Boris that being different is painful, remember?
