If that's the case, do you have proof?

In eastern MYTHOLOGY, a dragon was considered an intellectual spirit of good fortune. According to the river story, one taught mankind how to read and write. But of course, you can't trace their origin. There are many animals today that resemble the modern version of a dragon.

Western dragons, however, appear in FANTASIES, and are of the complete opposite nature, and design. They are said to be greedily and selfish creatures that hoard, pillage, and steal.

These stories are only similar in a way they influence EACH OTHER. When one person hears a version of a story, he will take it back with him, and tell it in a completely different version. From there, it evolves to influence culture and lifestyle. Believe it or not, it still happens today.

As for whether or not they exist, I sincerely doubt. It. If real dragons are in existance, so must other fantasy creatures...before we know it, there will be no magic left in the world.

Literally, a "dragon" is any large-sized lizard (i.e. Komodo Dragon, Chinese Water Dragon, Bearded Dragons...), or a mean old lady.

To many variations on dragons to say which culture's history on dragons is real and not, obviously there are large lizards named dragons e.g Komodo as previously stated...as for the big flying beasts which cough flame and take many a brave knight to slay?

No, I doubt it :P

Highly doubt it, the closest we have had are dinasours, and if they did find dragon fossils it would have been on the news everywhere. . Dragons are mythical creatures. Period.

I think they did exist actually. Why else would they exist in every culture? They were probably too big to go on Noah's Ark or were late to get on  Who knows maybe they just exist high in the mountains where no one goes. I used too think that lost hikers on mount everest were never found because they were meals or they stepped into Dragons territory.
