Well, honestly, I don't like to ask others for fanfic ideas because they, in telling you the ideas, came up with them. Because of this, I would then have to give credit for the idea behind the story. I prefer to be responsible for everything in a fanfic.

Just rack your brain, there must be an idea somewhere! I've found it quite impossible to want to write without knowing what I'll be writing. In fact, I only want to write once I have an idea, because at that point I can't stop thinking about it until I put it down on paper.

Listen to songs. They always give me plenty of inspiration. And the best thing about that is you really only have to give credit to the songwriter/singer if you use a part of the song in your fic.

Sorry for the lack of ideas, but the only ones on my brain right now are ones that I'm using.

Good luck.

Yeah, I don't enjoy giving out ideas because I'd usually want to write the stories I come up with XD.

I'd recommend you listen to some music. I sometimes get story ideas from songs. You could also brainstorm on a piece of paper on random ideas that pop into your head. ;).

Start with the dirty basics: Setting, Characters, and a problem. Also, most stories are started by the question, "what if...".

Well, you can't just ask other people for a story idea, other wise it isn''t your fanfic. But here is a tip.

Choose chars.
A setting
Make begining
A build up
A problam
A soulition
A Ending
A title

And you'll have a fanfic! :)

If you want even more inspirations, try watching some movies

Maybe not, everyone wants 100% thier work! Not from movies, or using ideas from movies.

@ FIREPAW: ...Erm...she's asking for ideas for a story, not how to write one.

You can't really ASK what people like to read about, because first off, you'll get so many different answers, you'd be sorry you ever asked in the first place. Second, if you take an idea from someone...does that really make it YOUR story?

Try drawing inspiration (NOT IDEAS!!) from the following:

- Life Experiences (the best place to start)
- Music & Nature
- Personal Interests (underwater basket weaving? O.o)

...Notice how I *DID NOT* include things like Movies and TV Shows. Why? Because there is only one way to interpret those kinds of things. There's nly ONE way to show it, and if you try to dink from it, people will know. On the other hand, how many different emotions and feelings to you get while remembering your childhood memories, listening to a song, walking in the park, or your hobbies?

Lastly, I'd like it t make a point that THERE IS NO WRITER IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE THAT IS ABLE TO KNOW WHETHER OR NOT THEIR STORY IS A "GOOD" ONE!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!one!!!eleven!! So how are you supposed to know if you're wasting your time? Simple: you don't. The only way to know if your story will be effective is if you write it fully from start to end and wait.

My Teachers always taught me Who, What, Why, When and How - This is a good starting point when writing a story.
