This intro is a bit late... joined yesterday.
It's great to see that there's such a large following on such an amazing and underrated movie series. It baffles me to this day as to why the first movie did not become a revered classic along with other great films such as The Lion King. I'm going to enjoy having a place to discuss it with other people who feel the same way.
A few things about me - I'm honestly much more of a gamer than I am a movie/video person, unless I find a movie or anime or something that really immerses me. It's strange to me that so many people here are gamers.
Currently, I'm looking for Balto on VHS. No, not DVD. Why? Because I prefer having things in their original form. If something is released on VHS first, I've decided that I prefer the VHS version. If it's on DVD first, then that's how it goes. It's just how I am. Same with video games.
On a sidenote, would anyone mind telling me how hard it is to find Balto on VHS in used stores/pawn shops/thrift stores?

As for the VHS, I'm talking specifically about the Balto VHS.

Hey Beta!! It's never too late for an intro XD. You can call me Ashur, Ash, or Blake .
I own Balto on VHS, but I'm not selling it XD. I'd recommend looking on Ebay or maybe Amazon or something like that. You'd probably have to order it, but it'd be worth it.
Hope you enjoy your stay!!

As for the movie, online is not an option. I've got two really good reasons for that.

Welcome! Nice bio, I see we are finally getting some decent writers in here! Fang is right about the low opportunity rate of finding a Balto film on VHS... the last film that came out on VHS was "Seabiscuit," and now everything is out on DVD, so it'll probably be impossible to find one on tape. I do own one, but that is because we received it shortly after it came out. Walmart does, however, sell Balto I on DVD, as well as Balto II (Wolf Quest) and Balto III (Wings of Change).
Hope you find what you are looking for, and enjoy your visits to Balto Source!

No no, please listen. I visit pawn shops and thrift stores all the time with my dad. Those kinds of places are chock-full of VHSes, especially some older popular movies. One place I visit often has a load of old Pokemon VHSes, and Pokemon is only a few years newer than Balto.
I'm not talking about places like Wal-Mart. Come to think of it, I did a search and those places don't even sell the DVD anymore. Not in my area, anyways.
I mentioned before that I'm a gamer, right? That's my primary reason to go to these places. I collect old games on NES and SNES. I can find them without a whole lot of trouble although you can't find them in Wal-Mart anymore, thanks to pawn shops and stuff like that.
I want to know how well this movie did when it was released on VHS, because that'll probably give me an idea of my chances.
Thanks for all of the nice replies Although I must say, BS is a pretty unfortunate acronym.

Oh, right... well then, the Balto films never actually did so greatly... they were pretty much unknown due to the release of the Toy Story film, which was released at the same time. It was compared and contrasted to Balto, and in the end, "Balto" ended up looking like a poorly created film, and Toy Story won it over.

Alright, I've got all of the information I need for that then. It sold about 4 million on VHS. Wow, that's amazing after it doing so crappily in theaters! My hopes are way up. Thanks for the link to that thread.
That should be all I need to know. Let's not go any more off topic.
