I'd like a wolf, dog, cat, cheetah, horse, or bat, but most of those animals belong in the wild.

I already have the animal I wanted most--a Saluki. =D I want to keep having them forever (and other dogs too, of my favorite breeds..mostly sighthounds.)
I also have some of my OTHER favorite animal--fish! Weird huh? Yeah, well, dogs and fish...that's me...I have various freshwater fishes. I love catfish (mainly plecos but all sorts), bettas, etc. What I WANT are saltwater fish. Biiig expensive challenge to keep though.
As to wild animals I'd want as a pet, but could never have...hmm...a RAY!! Yes, definitely a ray. I love them. It would be so cool if I could have one as a pet to swim with, and he'd obey me...only sting those I told him to, if he had a stinging spine...LOL.

Ok, well, providing I had the money and facilities to care for any animal so that it would be happy I would probably want to own a Wolf. Like most people here, really. xD
Actually, in reality, I wouldn't want to own any wild animals because they belong in the wild, they're not pets. With that considered, I'd most want to own a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. ^.^
