Yeah, this is a really great topic, and I agree with MayaHuskee, it will help a lot of the younger members. (Not all newbies do this you know, I am one.  )

I would have to say that this topic is a good idea, because not everyone knows what every SMS phrase means and there isn't really a written guideline (till now) of what is accepted (believe me, I have gotten into a fight with someone on the shoutbox because I was simply using minimal SMS).
Oh and I would also like to say that I agree with Maya in saying that this should be pinned. 
But I do have a suggestion for an accepted SMS that you missed: "nm" which means "nothing much"

well some must be allowed. common ones are known by everyone and if you dont know what at leats those are you shouldnt be on the shoutbox cause it will annoy others when a member askes a question about every sms they put.

Yupik, thank you for this topic. Now hopefully when some new members that just joined will not use to much SMs talk. It gets very hard to read.
