Welcome to the Official BaltoSource Trip topic. This trip idea was started by
Whitewolf(uk) of BaltoSource, but she has given me permission to continue it, sense she can no longer do so. Here, you shall find out all you need to know about the trip. If you have any further questions, please PM me, and I shall answer it to the best of my ability. ;]
Until further notice, this topic will stay semi-empty. This is mainly to help attract interest in the big project. In July we should have more info and updates ready for you. Please stand by.

A DATE HAS FINALLY BEEN CHOOSEN. AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE DATE, WE NOW HAVE ONE!!!
The 2008 trip will start on Tuesday, June 24th.... And will end on Thursday, June 26th. This means that the 24th, 25th, and 26th will be our days that the trip will be held on. So picking a flight that lands maybe half a day before the trip starts, and on the last day (or day after, if you perfer) of the trip.
Our next task is to figure out how much the fees will be, and when each activity will start and end... so look out! ;D Thanks to all who were patient with my committee and I!----

THIS YEARS TRIPThis years trip will be to Cleveland, Ohio! This was not our original plan. When UK had the trip, all of the members had decided on Chicago. But when I took over, Seppala showed me how Chicago really had nothing to do with Balto. He, and a few others, mentioned doing it in Cleveland. I had even thought about it. But Seppala finally turned my mind completely over; Sorry to those who live in Chicago! It has now been moved to Cleveland.
This event will be two-three days long. It cannot be any less, and surely no more than that! It will be very expensive, but very worth it. We will be featuring two events, one to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, and then one to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Both are packed with information on the real Balto!; We will even be seeing his stuffed body. This is not just a 'fun' trip, it is also educational! We will have the committee tell you interesting facts along the way and such as we do this. Hopefully it will all go smoothly. ^^
This info was taken from the Current Trip Page from the site.CommitteeTo be part of the committee, you must be highly recommended by one of the other committee memebers. You must be at least 14 years of age by the time of the trip. And you must be able to come to the trip. You must also be commited to the trip, and helping out. Everyone is vital to make this work. If one cannot do the work, then they will be removed from the committee. None of this is personal - its just to make sure that everything goes as smoothly as possible. With so much to do, not one person can do it alone.
Current people on the committee : Maya (MayaHuskee), Kayla (Kari), Arii (Tibb_wolf), and UK (Whitewolf(uk)).If you were on the committee before for the project, and are not listed here, contact Maya. She will see what she can do to add you back in. But, please remember the criteria above.
Adult Chaperons Here at the trip we need adult chaperons who are willing to help out where and when needed. Adult Chaperons will need to be at least 18 years of age, and be accepted by all of the staff. They must not have a child accompanying them unless they are 13 years of age or older. Adult Chaperons will have to fill out the nessicary forms as well. Once looked over and approved by all the staff, then they will be given Chaperon status. They will help to keep track of everyone, hand out things, and help to keep peace amoung everyone. Staff will be incharge of everyone, including the Chaperons. If asked to do something by any one of the staff, it is vital that they do it. All other things will be listed on the form. If you are interested in being a Chaperon, please click here.
Please keep in mind that not everyone who applies will be a Chaperon. The staff must think you are quailified enough to do the job. Nothing is personal, just keeping the safety of everyone in mind.

BehaviorThe behavior of everyone is essential to make the trips as smooth as possible. Everyone needs to behave, and be nice to everyone to the best of their abilities. Short tempers and snapping at people will not make the trip go well. If someone is going that you do not like, this is no reason to not come. You can simply mention to me, or another staff memeber, that you and this person greatly disagree, or that you just dont fancy this person. We will try to arange it so that everyone is happy. Remember - the only people you will have to deal with is the staff and chaperons. You do not have to deal with anyone else. But you need to be as nice as possible.
If anyone makes trouble, they will be removed from the group. They get one warning before they will be removed from participating with us. If you happen to be removed, there is no refunds on the money you spent. This is your own fault. We want to make everything as peaceful as possible. We will not mess around. You either behave, or be removed. No one is going to cry over your absence. You'll only miss out on the fun.
Dress CodeI am sure many are groaning and grunting at this point, but no need to worry. This is not that bad. Its not like a dress code at school or something, this is just to make sure everyone wears 'appropreiate' clothing on the trip. I would suggest bringing some extra clothes just incase.
Shirts - Shirts need to be a moderate length. They should at least cover your midriff (belly) when your arms are down. Please no obscene images on shirts; there are children at this event, too. Tank tops are welcome, as long as they cover your midriff and are not encredibly tight.
Pants/Shorts/Skirts - Shorts and Skirts cannot be little 'booty shorts'. They need to be a moderate lenght too. If the hem of your pants touch the innerside of your knees, then you need a belt. No one wants to see anyones boxers or panties, please. Either you pull them up, get a belt, or we will give you a thing of rope to keep them up. Baggy pants are allowed, as long as worn where normal pants should. And once again - no obscene images or sayings. (Such as 'smack it' on shorts or elsewhere).
Bandana/Extra Accessories - These are allowed, as long as they do not promot anything bad, wrong, ect. They also need to have no obscene images on them, please.
If something is not listed here, you can be asked to change or remove whatever you have for the safety of eveyone else. If you feel as if you shouldn't have to take it off or change, then you dont have to join the rest of us on the activities. If one of the committee members asks you to remove something or change, you can either do so or not join us. Its your choice. Please follow this simple dress code rules, and there will be not a problem. ;]

I'd like to give special thanks to all the voters, and give my appologies to shoving it down everyons throats! I wanted to get it done, so the rest of the committee and I could figure a date. Well, now we officially know how many days the trip will be, thanks to the BS'ers who voted!

THREE DAYS. The third day is going to be less elaborate, a simple 'hang out' day or such. No one is required to join in on the third day, but everyone who was with us the first two days are welcome to join. We will be playing all three Balto movies throughout the whole thing, and have lots of snacks for everyone. But, what else do you want to do?
