Don't you think it's annoying and you just want to hit the permaban button (I'd never do without a proper reason though) when a "very sad" person registers on a forum and starts posting "omg im da saddest person evah :'( i want tae kil miself" etc?

It makes me foam like a rabid dog!

Same for you guys too?

First off, I don't like you using the label "emo". Many members will take it offensively, frankly, I am one of them.

Although, I do agree about how annoying it can be that members go on about how horrid their life is. I dislike this because most of the time it isn't true...Usually you can tell by the way their writting style, but, not always. I for one, hardly share my sadness with members unless it is done through my art. So, whenever you see me venting on the SB it's usually to my closer friends on here, even then...I don't do it much.

Well... what is being "emo"? Does that have to do with acting the way you said? I'm sorry, I have heard the term "Emo," but have no clue what it means, I can only guess.

I also agree that the term "emo" is offensive. Don't use it please, you will only create problems for yourself and and possibly even the site. Anyways, I have never witnessed this myself here, but on other websites I have, so I do agree with you on that.

If people really do have problems in their life, they really shouldn't post it on the Internet unless it's to a group of users that they personally know, or if it's a forum that is used to vent problems, fears, and worried.

Uh, guys, an "emo" is "a slang term used to describe a range of fashion styles and attitudes somewhat affiliated with emo music and its related scenes." So frankly, if you don't dress gothlike and don't have a dark outlook on life for no apparent reason, you're not emo. If you do consider yourselves emo, get used to being called emo. Besides "emo" is the indolent way of saying "emotional" so if you're not "emotional" you're not emo. So get over it.

And yes, these types of topics are annoying, I can't stand them and they shouldn't even be left NOT deleted for more than a minute. Any reason why they are left open is beyond me.

Yeah, "emo" isn't exactly a good word to say in a crowd or on a forum (or at all for that matter). It's like calling rookies "noobs" or people who do dumb things "*******".

You are only stereotyping, and this can cause a lot of anxiety and anger.

But to answer your question, yes, I do find such topics you speak of as annoying. If they are depressing and sad, then all they do is make readers feel that way too. Trust me, I've been at work and heard something sad, and I was bummed for the rest of the day.

No one needs unnecessary sadness.

Alright. You learn something new every day. Changing to a more appropriate word. Sorry for the inconvenience caused :)

[EDIT] First off... what is a nicer word for emotional? I've tried to find synonymous for it, but failed... changed to "sad person" instead.
