i was reading a furuba manga in the car today and i was thinking how there are alot of similarities between it and cardcaptors (which i've seen every japanese episode of :3)

similarities

1. the first time i saw furuba was when i read the manga. Kyo's hair obviously isn't coloured in, as is the rest, so i thought it was black. his face, hair style and colour(manga only), and attitude were similar to that of toya's (tori in the english version).

2. yuki (julian in english version) from cardcaptors acts alot like yuki from furuba in that he's kind and friendly and some (only some) people have a crush on him.

3. ruby moon (who's disguise name i've forgotten) has a huge crush on toya (or so it seems), sort of like kagura with kyo. and kyo and toya don't like it and try to avoid the girl (although ruby isn't actually female).

4. sakura and tohru are similar in that they aren't very bright, worry alot about exam results/test scores and have very kind personalities.

5. both tohru and sakura lost their mothers.

differences

1. yuki and toya from cardcaptors are best friends (sort of lovers in the japanese), whereas, yuki and kyo from furuba simply hate each other.

2. ruby moon was only acting like she was in love with toya to try and take his powers, whereas, kagura really was in love with kyo and threatened him if he didn't agree to marry her (even though she later realises that her love for him was only because she felt sorry for him)

3. tohru and kyo end up getting married. this is so not possible with sakura and tohru because they are brother and sister. both pairs (furuba and cardcaptors) still have the friendly arguements, even though one is anger problems and the other is sibling rivalry.

4. sakura only loses her mother and she died of a natural cause, whereas, tohru lost her father due to pneumonia, if that's how you spell it and her mother in a car accident.


just though i'd share my thoughts on my favourite anime/manga shows/books with you!

I'm just wondering,especially since I have seen both these shows,where do you give people in this a chance to say something about it.
You could say "I've noticed that too."
"oh,ya!", or something else but I don't think this leaves room for a well thought out response.....try adding something into this topic.

what are you on about?
it says at the bottom that i'm just sharing my thoughts. so what do you mean i should put 'i've noticed that too' or something?
besides this is old anyway.

I was on about that ermm this topic ISN'T being commented because it gives nothing much to say. You could of said something like
which one do you like better? or something along those lines. Sharing your thoughts alone will not allow people to come up with a creative,debative response.
