Actually, I thought this about the ice caves in WoC but no.. only when Star looked through the ice things did I think of Ice Age. But, as Drew said, I don't think that Ice Age has anything whatsoever to do with Balto when it comes to inspiration.
Nice idea though.

Alaska= ice and snow= very likely there are ice caves
Ice age= ice and snow= very likely there were ice caves
I see no connection other than the fact that both movies had ice and snow.

It's about the only similarity, but that's what I noticed.
Even then, there were different jokes. besides in Brother Bear they played around with the ice too, does that mean they were inspired off Balto? No XD

Did you read the topic? yes- Gauntlet was wondering if that scene Ice Age was inspired by the scene in Balto. So, besides the fact that we all already know that Balto came out first, if Ice Age was inspired by Balto, Balto would've have to have come out first.
