Summary: Kodi decides to go find Dusty but a hybrid husky named; (Shadow), gets curious as she tags along without him knowing.

Prologue: On my own!

Dusty (a lillac/tanish) husky, with blue eyes is now walking alone near the ocean shore, to look up at the beautiful Sunrise alone.
Dusty sighs as she feels her heart break. 'Why did he get rid of me?' She asked herself as she gives out even a deeper sigh as she lays on the snowy beach. The ocean is now frozen from it's winter chills as she kept on starring at it.

But as Dusty lays there alone, she noticed that it began to snow! 'Snow?'Dusty thought as she gets up and decides to go home. But as she was heading towards home, the small snow drops began to become medium sized; snowflakes! "This doesn't look good! I gotta get home so that my owner doesn't worry about me!"

As she continues to walks across the snowy plain path, a little ways from Nome, Alaska when all of a sudden the winds starts to pick up! When the winds picked up speed, her lillac/tanish fur, ruffles against the harsh winds as it soon makes her eye sight become tougher! The winds now make the snowflakes into a blizzard!
"I-I-I-I gotta get some shelter, before I f-f-freeze to DEATH!" Dusty told herself as she makes her paws all work together in the deep, snow!

Chapter one:The search begins!

Kodi (now walking with Kirby and Ralph), like they do every morning, notices something or someone isn't here right now. "Uh, guys? Where's Dusty?" Kodi asks as they both looked at him with confusion. "Come to think of it, I don't think that I have seen her come on her way home at all!" Kirby exclaimed as Ralph felt kind of guilty.

"We'll; if she doesn't show up in the next few minutes...then I'm going on ahead and find her!" Kodi says as he waits for a few seconds then starts heading towards her house! "It's No big deal! She must have over SLEPT!" Kirby shouts at him but no responce. All Ralph did was stood there in silence.

"What has gotten into that poor kid?" Kirby asks as Ralph's ears gone down. "Come on, we'd better fallow him!" Kirby says as Ralph snaps outta his thoughts and joined his best buddy at his side!

As Kodi reaches Dusty's house, he then steps on the porch to catch his breath then puts his ear agains the wooden door of the house(since the houses are made out to wood and steel in 1929). After listening against the door of her house, Kodi decides to go in the doggie door and go inside the house.

When Kodi entered the house, all was silent. He looks around and sniffs for her scent but couldn't catch any of it. Kodi then goes back to the front door, then walks out of the doggie door onto the porch to see two fimiliar faces!

****Meanwhile back at Mr.Simpson's house*****

"M-M-Morning already?" A sleepy husky asks as she felt snow fell on her from sleeping on the porch of her owners house. While waking up, Mr. Simpson noticed that Kirby, Ralph, Dusty and Kodi have all gone missing! After getting up from her night's rest, Shadow (a wolfdog like Balto), stretchs out her legs and gave a big yawn then walks over to her owner's voice.

"KODI! KIRBY! RALPH! DUSTY!" Mr. Simpson shouts but hears no responce as Shadow walks over to his side. "Oh, hi girl! Wanna go track
'em down for me? I need my dogs to start the big Iditorad race!" He exclaims as Shadow looks up into her owners eyes as her tail curls up and give out a cheerful bark and starts sniffing them out!

Chapter two:Two hearts, One Mind

As Kodi(a husky that looks like Jenna but is male), stops to catch his breath as he sniffs the area for her scent. "She here, somewhere..."Kodi tells himself as he gets the faint smell of her in the air.

++++Meanwhile+++++

A wolfdog named:Shadow just caught the scent of Kirby and Ralph ahead of her! Shadow finally caught up with them as she takes a break from running. "Hi shadow! Why are here?" Kirby asked as Shadow's panting is slowly going away. "I-I-I was told t-t-to track you guys down! Mr.Simpson really needs us for the big Iditorad practice for the big race this weekend!" She spat out as the two huskies looks at her with a worried look.

Then it hit Shadow. Shadow notices that Kodi nor Dusty was with them as usual. "Where's Kodi and Dusty?" Shadow asks as she gets a bad feeling within her stomache. "Kodi went after her two hours ago..."Ralph exclaims as she looks terrified.

'Why wouldn't Kodi want me around to help out with the search for Dusty?'Shadow's thoughts raced as Kirby says "Well? Are we just gonna hang around here all DAY?" Shaodow snapps out of her thought as she hears what Kirby said. "y-Yeah, Yeah You're right! We gotta find both of them! It's our dutie!"Shadow proudly says as she sees the two huskies get ahead of her.
"Why even bother explaining what we're gonna do..."She mutter as she fallows them and gets infront of the two.
